Maya's Heart Vessel

Created in high school ceramics class 10 years ago, Maya Barton created this mug to resemble an anatomically correct human heart the best she could using many reference photos. This piece was a challenge, which Maya was interested in conquering. Though the mug went through some cracking before and during firing and is not useable as a drinking vessel, this piece is still interested to look at, and would be a graet addition to any poet or artists' home. Donning a quote by Elalusx, the mug reads "Hearts are wild creatures, that's why ribs are cages."
